Installation Guide
Linda walks you through it in four minutes. It takes about ten minutes the first time, and you don't need any tools. Everything screws on by hand.
What's in the box
- Hose
- Shower wand
- Y tubing
- The cape
Setting it up
- Connect the tubing to the shower wand. Screw it on by hand and get it as tight as you can.
- Connect the other end to the Y on the tubing that goes into the cape. Again, as tight as you can.
- Take your existing shower wand off its hose. It may drip a little if the shower was just used.
- Screw your shower's hose onto the other end of the Y. This is the water supply. Get it on snugly; it can be a little fiddly, so be patient and keep turning.
- Slide the tubing into the cape. Open the velcro and slide the tubing in past the velcro, then close the velcro over it so it stays put.
- Check the holes face down. The small holes in the tubing should point down. If you can't see them, feel for the little knobs on top. Knobs up means holes down.
Before the first shower
Turn the water on and let it warm up. Water comes out of both the wand and the cape, so hold the cape over the tub while it warms. Once it's the right temperature, you can shut the handheld off for a moment while you help them in.
They sit. You drape the cape over their shoulders like a cloak, turn the water back on, and wash underneath with the wand. They stay warm the whole time, and you stay mostly dry.
